H-E-B is continuing to expand across North Texas. The Texas-sized grocery chain recently announced the newest location in Prosper, Texas will break ground on April 2, 2024.

The groundbreaking event is not open to the public, but company leadership, community leaders and community nonprofits will attend.

In July 2022, the retail giant bought a 19.78-acre patch of land on the corner of Frontier Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway in Prosper.

The Prosper location will be the sixth store to open in Collin County in the span of two years following the opening of stores in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen and soon Melissa

Construction officially commenced on the H-E-B store in Melissa, Texas. Spanning 131,000 square feet, the upcoming H-E-B will feature a comprehensive range of high-quality products and cutting-edge services sometime in 2025 with the largest location in North Texas.

But Prosper isn’t the only North Texas city gearing up to welcome a new H-E-B location. On Wednesday, April 10, H-E-B Alliance located at 3451 Heritage Trace Pkwy, will officially open to the public.

Dallas grocery shoppers can also rejoice. Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B officially broke ground on its second location in Dallas. H-E-B, announced plans last year to build a Joe V’s Smart Shop at the corner of Buckner Blvd. and Samuell Blvd. at 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. The store is expected to open in spring 2025.

“We’re excited to continue our growth in the Dallas area and eager to serve customers in the metroplex with top-quality service and the freshest products at the lowest prices in the marketplace,” H-E-B Chief Operating Officer Roxanne Orsak said. “We look forward to bringing this proud H-E-B brand to more Texans.”

H-E-B is set to provide a range of job opportunities at all upcoming locations, spanning from department managers to cashiers. The details of these positions will be posted on the H-E-B careers site in the upcoming months.
