On October 1st, Kennys’ 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament teed off at The Tribute Golf Club in The Colony.
The sold out tournament was held in aid of Plano based nonprofit Hope’s Door, who are dedicated to helping families affected by domestic violence.
The fun-loving group of golfers first enjoyed lunch at The Tribute Golf Club before teeing off in a Scramble Format, ending the festivities with dinner and a prize-giving.
The tournament was organized by Kenny’s Restaurant Group, who have one restaurant in Plano – Kenny’s Smokehouse on Legacy Drive, as well as Kenny’s Burger Joint, also on Legacy Drive, but in Frisco, as well as Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill in Dallas, and Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison.
Among the tournament participants was Hope’s Door CEO Jim Malatich.
Hope’s Door’s mission is to offer intervention and prevention services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and to provide educational programs that enhance the community’s capacity to respond.
In 1986, The Junior League of Plano determined there was a need for a 24-hour crisis hotline in Collin County. Hope’s Door was the response to that need
During the past 29 years, Hope’s Door has grown from a simple hotline to include a shelter and supportive services; individual and group counseling; legal services; rental assistance; community education; and intervention and prevention programming.
