Five years ago, 11-year-old Micah Pinson, who is a patient at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, started a toy drive. Since then, his efforts have collected over 13,000 toys and games.

During the holiday season, all patients (ranging from birth to age 18) of the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children are given one of these toys upon admittance. With your help, Micah hopes to make this program run year-round.

CityLine, the 186-acre mixed-use development in Richardson, has joined forces with Micah and will host a toy drive for patients at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children from Nov. 30 through Dec. 20.

“Micah shared his own personal struggle and the importance of each child receiving a toy or game during what can be a stressful time for kids and families,” said Jessica Robertson, director of marketing at CityLine. “Our tenants are eager to help and we know our CityLine community and visitors will make this a successful toy drive for Scottish Rite Hospital.”

New and unwrapped toys and games can be dropped off at collection boxes throughout the property, including at CityLine Kitchen, Top Pot Doughnuts & Coffee, TOM+CHEE, and the CityLine management office at 3661 N. Plano Rd., Suite 2500. No stuffed animals are needed at this time. Items for teenage boys are lacking.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make a check out to “Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children” with “Micah’s Toy Drive” in the subject line and drop it off or mail it to the  management office at the above address.
