Chicken Veggie Cafe Izmir

The delights of an upscale, casual Mediterranean venue that has graced Dallas’ Lower Greenville area since 1996 is finally making its way to Plano. Café Izmir began as a small, family-owned restaurant with the goal of introducing everyone to the world of home-cooked, tapas-style cuisine.

Owner Beau Nazeri wisely chose to fill the original menu with Mama Nazy’s timeless recipes from Greek, Turkish, Lebanese, Albanian and Persian backgrounds. It didn’t take long for Café Izmir to produce regulars! Although a few twists and additions from others’ creative cooking have been added to the menu since, the flavors are most definitely still authentic.

Dive into Café Izmir’s diverse menu of beef, lamb, chicken, vegetarian, vegan, deli sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Don’t forget to try the famous hummus, and sip on your favorite drink from the full-service bar. A type of food that is sure to be a hit and is being added to the Plano location’s menu is baked pizza.

The restaurant’s 5,200-square-feet of space includes a private dining area, large main floor with an open kitchen, a take home deli station, a terrace and patio. Café Izmir will cater to group or corporate events and offers AV capabilities. On the weekends, a Spanish guitarist or a soulful voice will subtly serenade all guests.

Café Izmir is open for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night soirées. Bonus: They offer brunch. Party coming up? Café Izmir hosts great parties or will even cater to you and your guests offsite.

(Warning: this place may become a weekly venture.)
