The Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) celebrates 10 years of changing lives through music at the Eisemann Center on Sunday, January 31!

LSWO takes the stage for an unforgettable and relaxing time of Music, Mind, Body & Soul, which features a series of well-known songs, including John Williams/Moss theme from “Shindler’s List,” Frank Ticheli’s traditional piece “Amazing Grace,” and more. The healing power of music will be evident from the masterful sounds the LSWO produces.

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra was founded in April 2006 in hopes to build an orchestra from a player’s perspective and be a key piece to the North Texas arts community. They perform classical transcriptions, chamber music and contemporary wind band literature in some of the finest performance halls available in the area. Their main goal is to inspire people through music and be a role model for young students to pursue a life of musical involvement. Through this goal and their passion, the organization has had many achievements including the formation of a high school honor band called LSWO Youth Winds, scholarship offers to high school seniors, and they are leaders in other successful music programs for youth. LSWO has also recorded and released two professional records, which are distributed nationally.

In addition these amazing accomplishments, LSWO performs for free to community outreach groups and organizations such as ARTreach and The Senior Source to provide over 8,000 free performance tickets to the artistically under-served in North Texas. What an awesome feat by a local organization.

Show The Land Star Wind Orchestra your support by attending this one-of-a-kind performance!
