Plano East Senior High School Theatre, THE CHILDREN’S HOUR

Plano East Senior High School Theatre is proud to present Lillian Hellman’s THE CHILDREN’S HOUR, one of the classics of the American stage, at 7 p.m. on February 25, 26, and 27 at the Plano East Auditorium. Set at a private school for girls in the 1930s, the play explores the consequences of a pernicious rumor spread by a malcontented student about the two women who operate the institution. Even after the lie has been exposed, the damage appears irreparable.

Tickets for THE CHILDREN’S HOUR are now available at the online box office on the Plano East Theatre Department website (peshdrama.org). General admission tickets for adults are $10 and $8 for students. Premium seating in an exclusive general admission central seating section is available for $15.

Seating for THE CHILDREN’S HOUR is limited, so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Pre-paid tickets and PISD employee reservations should be picked up at the Will Call window at the box office by 6:50 p.m. PISD reservations not picked up by 6:50 p.m. will be released to the waiting list. The box office opens at 6:15 p.m., and the doors of the auditorium will open at approximately 6:30 p.m. Curtain is at 7 p.m.

[*Due to recent events at Plano East Senior High School, parents should be advised that the subject matter of THE CHILDREN’S HOUR may be too intense for some students.]
