A night to remember at the Eisemann! The Saturday, March 19 concert pays tribute to Marvin Hamlisch and after is a performance by each of the three Plano Symphony Orchestra winners of 2016 Young Artist Competition.

Hamlisch is one of 12 people to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. Not to mention, he won a Pulitzer Prize and two Golden Globes. Hamlisch is the man who gifted us the music for The Sting, The Spy Who Loved Me, Sophie’s Choice, A Chorus Line and more.

After the tribute performance, be prepared for the talented winners of the Annual Collin County Young Artist Competition and their concerto-winning performances. Talent came in abundance this year with a total of 90 contestants. However, three young men won the judges’ musical hearts: 10-year-old pianist James Chung Yue Tien will play a Chopin concerto; 17-year-old pianist Patrick Magee will perform a Rachmaninoff concerto; 17-year-old cellist Alexander Davis-Pegis will play a Dvorak concerto.
