The Home Depot Acquires McKinney-Based SRS Distribution For $18.25 Billion

The Home Depot recently finalized an agreement to purchase McKinney-based SRS Distribution Inc. a prominent distributor specializing in residential trades across multiple sectors, catering to professional roofers, landscapers and pool contractors.

According to The Home Depot, SRS is poised to expedite expansion within the residential professional customer segment. This acquisition positions The Home Depot as a premier specialty trade distributor across various sectors.

Through the deal, The Home Depot anticipates its total addressable market to grow to around $1 trillion, marking an increment of approximately $50 billion.

With over 2,500 professional sales representatives and a network of 760 branches spanning 47 states, SRS boasts a robust infrastructure. Coupled with its fleet of over 4,000 trucks and efficient jobsite delivery capabilities, SRS will empower The Home Depot to broaden its services for residential specialty trade professionals, thereby enhancing support for renovators and remodelers.

Dan Tinker, SRS’s president and CEO, along with his seasoned senior leadership team, will maintain their roles at SRS. They will collaborate closely with The Home Depot to ensure the delivery of optimal value propositions for all professional customers.
