McKinney, Texas, is preparing for its annual St. Patrick's Day Beer Walk in downtown McKinney on March 16. Now in its sixth year, this lively event, hosted by SBG Hospitality and presented by Russell Realty, promises a day of beer tasting and community engagement.
With an expected turnout of 1,500 participants, the occasion underscores McKinney's appeal as a cultural destination.
As reported by Star Local Media, Kristen Breedlove, sales and marketing manager at SBG Hospitality, said, “A lot of people love a themed event. It’s an event to bring foot traffic downtown and celebrate the holiday.” In partnership with Hugs Cafe, a portion of the event proceeds will support community initiatives.
The St. Patrick's Day Beer Walk features 20 stops where participants can sample various beverages, creating a jovial atmosphere throughout the downtown area. Upon arrival, you’ll receive your signature McKinney St. Patrick’s Day beer taster and a map directing you on your St. Patty’s sip and stroll journey.
Breweries like Union Bear Brewing Co., Wild Ohio Brewing, Hop & Sting Brewing Co., Community Beer Co., TUPPS Brewery and Stone Brewing will offer a selection of craft beers for attendees to enjoy.
Sign-up opportunities for volunteers are available for those eager to contribute to the festivities or partake in the revelry. These opportunities promise an enriching experience for all involved.
“McKinney itself can be a draw for visitors since it’s known for its historic downtown, all its cute shops, and the art theme,” Breedlove said to Star Local Media.
