Second Chance SPCA (SCSPCA), a “No-Kill” Animal Shelter based in Plano since 2006, is hosting a Birthday Party at Haggard Park on Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in honor of its tenth year in operation.
Since Second Chance SPCA was founded in Plano, they have rescued more than 3500 cats and dogs—animals that would have otherwise been euthanized in municipal shelters throughout the DFW metroplex. Thanks to the generosity and support of the Plano community, as well as corporate sponsors, Second Chance SPCA was able to place these cats and dogs in “forever homes,” as well as provide them with shelter, medical care, training, and love until they can be adopted out to a family.
Wishing to thank the public for their support over the last 10 years, Second Chance SPCA Plano invites YOU and your four-legged friend (leashed please) to join the fun for music, food, and entertainment on Saturday, March 19 at Haggard Park in Downtown Plano.

Second Chance SPCA Plano
Second Chance SPCA is a volunteer-based organization founded in 2006 and works exclusively with DFW-area municipal shelters that are forced to euthanize due to overcrowding. In 2013, SCSPCA was able to purchase a new, larger facility with the help of individuals and corporate friends in the community. The new shelter can currently house more than 40 animals, with additional special-needs animals placed in foster homes. SCSPCA is a 501©3 charity, and all donations are tax deductible.
