Employers continue to eye the impressive $3.2 billion Legacy West development. The global tech firm NTT Data Corp. is shopping a new office building for its North American headquarters that have been in Plano for almost five years.

The Japan-based firm announced earlier this year that it is purchasing Dell Services, which also has a large facility in Plano.

NTT Data is considering plans to consolidate its Plano operations into about 150,000 square feet of office space, property agents from E Smith Realty Partners say.

The 14-story One Legacy West office building is at a top contender on the company’s list of options. The structure is currently still under construction and sits across from Toyota’s new North American headquarters on Legacy Drive.

Gaedeke Group developed the over 300,000-square-foot high-rise that is scheduled to open at the end of 2016.

In 2013, NTT Data moved its headquarters from Boston to Dallas, and in 2014 its Plano office doubled in size causing a 50,000-square-foot relocation to the Granite Park developement at the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 121.

Along with the Legacy West building, NTT Data is also considering an expansion of its current offices at Granite Park.

NTT Data has also reportedly looked at the Dallas Cowboys’ Star development in Frisco.

If NTT Data chooses Legacy West as its new home, the company will be joining other corporations such as the $300 million Toyota campus, $325 million Liberty Mutual Insurance office complex and a $300 million JPMorgan Chase campus that will eventually house almost 6,000 workers.

FedEx Office opened its world headquarters in a building at Legacy West last fall.
