Collin College Technical Campus to Open in 2020

Thought you wanted to leave Collin County after high school? Think again. In the fall of 2020, Collin College will open a Collin College Technical Campus in Allen that will eventually serve over 4,000 students.

Thought you wanted to leave Collin County after high school? Think again. In the fall of 2020, Collin College will open a Collin College Technical Campus in Allen that will eventually serve over 4,000 students. With this new campus, Collin College is preparing for the ever-expanding population and growing higher education needs of Collin County.

The Technical Campus will include four buildings with nearly 340,000 square footage of instructional, vocational, technology training, and office space. An underground parking garage and sidewalk connections will allow students to access nearby amenities, giving the new campus a true college feel.

With the Technical Campus, Collin College plans to expand its offered programs by including courses, training, and certification in Architecture and Construction, Manufacturing and Energy, Health Science, and more. Students at the nearby Allen ISD STEAM center will also have the opportunity to utilize the College’s new programs and facilities.

Since 1985, Collin College has been an education provider in the Collin County area. From offering courses in local high schools to serving over 50,000 credit and continuing students each year, the college remains an active presence in the community.
