Are you ready for an afternoon of food, wine, and fun? The inaugural Plano Food and Wine Festival, presented by Maggiano’s Little Italy and hosted at The Shops at Willow Bend, has announced its extensive lineup of event entertainment and activities for the festival on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 12-4 p.m.
The festival will feature more than 100 wines, food from 20 different restaurants and food trucks, live music, local artists, beer and cocktails, culinary demonstrations, a play zone for kids and more than 60 boutiques and shops.
“The Plano Food and Wine Festival is a celebration of food and community – truly the first of its kind in North Dallas,” said event organizer Lauren Stephan. “Plano residents and visitors will be able to enjoy fantastic food and drink selections, live entertainment, games, cooking demos and more, all in a great atmosphere at The Shops at Willow Bend.”

In addition to live music from local bands, entertainment will include 15-minute performances from The Plano Children’s Theatre throughout the event, grape stomping competitions and cooking demonstrations from local chefs. Attendees can learn about mixology, how to make pasta and more throughout the afternoon in the Culinary Experience Tent, presented by Sprouts Farmers Market.
The Plano Food and Wine Festival is part of the grand opening celebration weekend of The District, the reimagined dining destination at The Shops at Willow Bend.

General admission to the festival is free and open to all ages. Food and wine tasting packages range from $20 to $70 and can be purchased here, with a portion of all proceeds benefitting The Plano Children’s Theatre.
