Enjoy some family time with the music of the Plano Community Band!
On Sunday, November 11, the Plano Community Band will kick off its 40th Anniversary season featuring special guest artist, Wayne Bergeron.
Mr. Bergeron is a Yamaha artist who has worked on over 400 TV & motion picture soundtracks and numerous albums. A partial list of film credits include The Incredibles, Wreck it Ralph, Crazy Rich Asians, La La Land, and Jersey Boys. Bergeron also performed as the lead trumpet with Maynard Ferguson’s band and can be heard on Maynard’s recordings of “Body and Soul”, “Big Bop Nouveau”, “Brass Attitude”, and “The One and Only Maynard Ferguson.”
The Band will perform works the whole family will enjoy, including The Incredibles, MacArthur Park, Leonard Bernstein’s Slava! and more. The Plano Community Band is also honored to perform the world premiere of a new composition by Plano’s own David Lovrien, entitled The Unfortunate Band of the Iron Brigade.
The concert will be Sunday, November 11th, at 2:30 p.m. at the Eisemann Center of the Performing Arts in Richardson and is free to the public. Advance reservations are recommended and are available by visiting the Plano Community Band website at www.planoband.com.
The Plano Community Band is a volunteer organization made up of approximately 70 musicians from all walks of life who share a passion for music.
