It was quite the party for quite the milestone! On April 21, 2024, Nick & Sam's Steakhouse celebrated its 25th anniversary in style.
The invite-only anniversary event featured a red carpet entrance where guests enjoyed wine and champagne before entering the restaurant. Inside, they were treated to a hall of history displaying black-and-white images of Phil and Sam Romano, chef Samir Dhurandhar and patrons throughout the years. Guests enjoyed cocktails, savored delicious eats and danced well into the evening. It was quite the night!
“We wouldn’t be here without the incredible people who walk through our doors every day, our staff and those who dine with us at every chance they get,” said chef Samir Dhurandhar. “This is all for them. I’m thankful to have made it this far and am proud of where we’re going.”
Established in 1999 by renowned restaurateur Phil Romano, the upscale eatery has become a local favorite and a destination for visitors nationwide. Led by Phil's son, Sam Romano and partner and corporate executive chef Samir Dhurandhar, Nick & Sam's continues to define luxury dining in Dallas.
"What this restaurant has accomplished in 25 years is truly special. We’re at a point where I feel like Nick & Sam’s is synonymous with the city of Dallas," said Sam Romano. "We are able to be in business for a quarter century thanks to the support of our guests and the hard work of our team. This celebration is our way of thanking our guests for their ongoing patronage. We hope that we can continue to serve the city of Dallas for another 25 years."
Other entertainment included photo booths, dancers, musical performances and a live 3-D oil painting demonstration. The evening concluded with a special tribute to Phil Romano and the unveiling of a commemorative portrait.
The celebration coincided with a recent conversation between Local Profile, Chef Dhurandhar and Sam Romano about the iconic restaurant’s past and future.
