Two years after the launch of the luxury handbag brand, Deseri LLC is gearing up to unveil its inaugural brick-and-mortar outpost. Scheduled to debut on May 3, the Deseri pop-up shop will open at the Galleria Dallas.
According to The Dallas Business Journal, this marks a significant milestone as it becomes the premier designer handbag boutique owned by a Black woman in the mall's four-decade history. Deseri, presently operating solely online, will take over the former Bearfruit Jewelry location on the mall's first level. The pop-up is expected to last for three to six months.
The brand is owned by entrepreneur Deseri Kelley. Living in Barcelona and Paris for four years provided her with an intimate view of the fashion world and helped Kelley with her intricate design choices that shape each piece her brand creates.
Since receiving her first designer purse as a gift at age 9, Kelley was captivated by high-quality craftsmanship. According to the brand, she meticulously planned her outfits around her expanding bag collection, drawing admiration from friends and strangers alike. After a successful career in education and leadership, the moment arrived to pursue her dream of crafting a premium line of signature handbags. Today, Kelley's thriving brand reflects her love for fashion, offering an accessible luxury experience that fosters connections worldwide.
