The long-awaited debut of Tom Thumb's new Frisco location is finally here. On April 17, 2024, the store opened at 11401 Coit Road.

Construction for the new store kicked off in Feb. 2023, signifying the company's strategic growth endeavors and serving as the inaugural of four planned store openings for 2024.

Situated at the mixed-use development on Brinkmann Ranch, the Frisco Tom Thumb store will anchor the Lexington Village shopping center. Located on the corner of Coit Road and Eldorado Parkway, this location strategically aligns with the city's growing needs.

As previously reported by Local Profile, the mixed-use development is set to introduce 2,500 single-family residences, 2,200 multifamily units, schools, parks and an amenity center for residential use. Alongside Tom Thumb, the development will feature 30,000 sq. ft. of in-line retail, restaurant space and three out parcels.

As a subsidiary of Albertsons Companies, Tom Thumb was founded in 1948 by J.R. Bost and Robert B. Cullum. Originating in Dallas, Texas, the supermarket chain emerged as a prominent player in the industry, catering to customers' needs with various products and services across the state.

From customizable cakes and deli trays to lightning-fast grocery delivery via Tom Thumb Flash, the company continuously adapts to meet evolving consumer demands.
